Clamping between centres so that the entire surface of workpiece can be machined in one set up. Optimize production flow and reduce manufacturing costs
Features:
High Accuracy True running accuracy of the workpiece can be achieved due to retaining the centreline of the workpiece
Spring of Hydraulic actuation systems In combination with the thrust of the tailstock the drive pins are engaged via a high powered spring mechanism or via hydraulic cylinder actuation
Versatile Can be placed on the front face of existing power chuck for short runs of particular workpieces
Shorter Tool Lengths Minimal workholding enables tool lengths to be shorter, reducing tool chatter and flex
Low Maintenance Low-cost consumable drive pins and centre pins can be easily replaced
Manufactured to order Customised options are available to suit your workholding requirements
Princliple: the tailstock force pushes the workpiece against the movable centre pin of the face driver. The centre pin will drawback until the surface of the workpiece bears against the drive pins.
