The coverplate is necessary to reduce the ingress of coolant, oil, swarf and chips into your chuck’s internal mechanism from the harsh metal cutting environment.

Chemi-blacked to prevent rust and supplied with three cover retaining screws. The coverplate also ensures that the essential chuck grease remains inside the chuck mechanism letting your chuck last longer, operate with better repeatability and a higher gripping force.
